The decision was made today at a meeting of the operational group of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. Preschools, schools, hospitals, medical and preventive institutions, and other social facilities will be the first to receive heat. In the coming days, a phased connection of heating will begin in residential buildings, as a sharp cold snap occurred in the region on September 29, and the average daily air temperature has been below 8 degrees Celsius for three days (the standard is five days). According to meteorologists, it will remain the same throughout the first decade of October. The boiler house economy of the Vitebsk region is ready for the heating season. 404 out of 430 heat sources in the region have received readiness certificates, and the remaining facilities will complete this work this week, Anatoly Sudak added. -0-
