In the Vitebsk region, it is planned to significantly increase the use of local fuels next year, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, who is participating in the fourth All-Belarusian People's Assembly, told a BELTA correspondent. In the future, it is planned to increase the share of local fuels in the region's energy balance to 70%. Alexander Kosinets noted the importance of the fact that in the speech of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the assembly, great attention was paid to the thrifty use of local resources. The Belarusian leader's speech emphasized that Belarus is on the verge of a new economic policy. The economy should grow through new directions and enterprises that produce high value-added products. According to Alexander Kosinets, the Vitebsk region will focus on having at least 20% of innovative, highly profitable products in the total volume of industrial production in the new five-year plan. -0-
