Events dedicated to the International Children's Day will be held in the Vitebsk region

As part of the republican charity event "Children's Day with BRSM", from May 30 to June 5, 2021, events dedicated to International Children's Day will be held in the Vitebsk region.

"Children need support, they are one of the most socially vulnerable segments of the population. International Children's Day, celebrated on June 1, reminds society of the need to protect children's rights in the modern world. The goal of the campaign is to provide targeted social support to children and children's social institutions, and to improve children's playgrounds. And the youth of the Vitebsk region have willingly supported the republican charity event and are ready to help in improving children's playgrounds, conduct concert and entertainment programs for children and their families, and give children smiles and a holiday! We sincerely hope that help and support will surely find those who desperately need it, and we will be very glad if it helps someone become happier," notes Vladimir Babichev, First Secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the NGO "BRSM".

Events for children, pupils of children's boarding institutions, family-type children's homes, foster and adoptive families, large families, children with disabilities, and children with limited health opportunities will be held in all regions.

Volunteers of the region will organize more than 50 campaigns and events. For example, in 7 regions, the improvement of children's playgrounds is planned (Beshenkovichi, Glubokoe, Miory, Orsha, Rossony, Sharkovshchina, Vitebsk city). Also, contests of drawings on asphalt, entertainment programs for pupils of social shelters, a photo contest "I'm a child" in the Tolochin district, a sports event "Mom, Dad, I am a sports family!" in Chashniki, targeted home visits to children, and the handover of collected books, stationery, toys, sweets, and clothes to those in need have been organized.

In Vitebsk city, on June 1, in the square of June 26 on Beresten Street, starting at 10:00 AM, the improvement of a large children's playground, an interactive entertainment program for children and their families, and the "Draw Your Summer" festival (a contest of drawings on asphalt) will be organized.

Also on June 1, the festival "Fairy Tale Land" will be held in the Rossony district at the summer stage of the State Cultural Institution "Center of Culture and Folk Art". The festival program includes contests, games, and outdoor entertainment. Young guests will be greeted by costumed characters, and at the end of the event, each child will receive memorable prizes and balloons.

On June 1, activists of the Novopolotsk district organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union will present the entertainment program "Children's Day" for children being raised in families in difficult life situations. Participants will enjoy an active laser tag game, a play area, and a sweet table. The event will conclude with the presentation of memorable gifts and balloons.

On June 5, activists of the Novopolotsk district organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, together with the horse club "KM Horses", will organize the charity project "Yard Wizards" in the Novopolotsk Park of Culture and Recreation for children in difficult life situations, featuring horseback riding, attractions, and the presentation of memorable gifts and balloons.

The Vitebsk regional committee of the Public Association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" is the organizer of the events.
