The first meetings on the creation of the "Belaya Rus" party were held in the Vitebsk region
According to him, the foundation for this event has been laid over the past three decades. And the current step is fully justified, Vladimir Terentyev is convinced:
– Our society needs a political party that will unite all centers of power supporting the state, express national interests, and support the political course of the country and the President.
Similar meetings were also held today in the Tolochinsky district and the Pervomaisky district of Vitebsk. Their participants included members of various public organizations, Vladimir Terentyev noted:
– The asset includes representatives of women's, youth, veteran, and other public organizations. But the core consists of members of the public organization "Belaya Rus," which initiated the creation of the new party. The working version of its name is still the same – "Belaya Rus." However, it should be clearly understood that "Belaya Rus" as a public organization remains and will continue to exist. Its members, as before, will be involved in various social projects. Those who wish to join the party to engage in political construction can represent the interests of absolutely different public organizations.
During the meetings, participants determined the first steps they need to take towards their goal. In accordance with the legislation, to create a new political party, it is necessary that the number of its members is at least five thousand, and its structure is formed in each region, including divisions in at least a third of the region's districts, Vladimir Terentyev recalled:
– Therefore, this week, throughout the regions, we are holding meetings to establish initiative groups and elect delegates to the constituent congress, which will take place on March 18 in Minsk. Tomorrow, for example, organizational meetings will be held in seven regions of the oblast, on February 15 – in 12. They will conclude on February 16 in Novopolotsk, Rossony and Senno districts. Similar meetings are also being held in other regions of the country.
At this stage, our main goal is to clearly define the key tasks for the near future and prepare specific proposals for the congress, as the charter, program, and final name of the party are still under discussion.
