В Витебской области проходит месячник по посадке деревьев и кустарников
A month of planting trees and shrubs in settlements is underway in the Vitebsk region as part of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection's environmental campaign "Let's Improve Our Small Homeland."

According to Marina Galich, Head of the Department of the Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, the main idea is that every resident or organization can contribute to the improvement and greening of their settlement. The environmental campaign also includes holding clean-up days, events, and other activities to tidy up and improve territories. Over three weeks in October, enthusiasts have planted more than 27,000 trees and shrubs. This includes the regional center, Polotsk, Miory, Verkhnedvinsk, Senno, Beshenkovichi, Novolukoml, Gluboksky, Postavsky, Lepelsky, and Lioznensky districts. The campaign will continue in the coming days. In particular, it is planned to establish family alleys in Begoml, Dokshitsky district, and Barani, Orsha district. Vitebsk will see new greenery along General Ivanovsky Street, Leningradskaya Street, and the Beshenkovichi Highway. The regional environmental coordination council will also participate in the campaign. This coming Friday, an on-site meeting of the OKES will be held in Orsha, after which its participants will plant 60 trees in Heroes' Park.
