In the Vitebsk region, 5 mechanized detachments will be created to assist agricultural enterprises in carrying out spring field work
According to Gennady Sabynich, First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, this decision was made as part of the implementation of the head of state's directive to restore the functions of district agro-service centers.
A working meeting with the heads of specialized enterprises was held at Zapadno-Dzvinsky MRS OJSC. Issues of repair and restoration of equipment for the mechanized detachments were discussed.
Commenting on the current work in the fields, Gennady Sabynich told a correspondent of "VV" that the harvesting of corn for silage and grain is nearing completion.
– Almost 126 thousand tons of corn grain have been harvested so far, which is a record in the history of the Vitebsk region. For the stall period, 31 centners of fodder units per conventional head of cattle have been prepared, a similar indicator has also not been achieved before, – noted the First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee and thanked the agrarians of the northern region for their work.
