33 bathing sites have been designated in the Vitebsk region for Epiphany
For residents of Vitebsk and nearby settlements, four bathing places have been organized: in Novka, Luzhesno, at the Voronovsky ring road, and on 39th Army Street. The head of the department drew the public's attention to the fact that last year the most popular bathing place was the one in Vorony, where a queue even formed, while in Novka it was quite free. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, OSVOD, medical institutions, and internal affairs bodies will be on duty at the designated bathing places. "A whole set of measures has been taken to ensure people's safety and, if necessary, to provide prompt assistance," emphasized Alexander Klobuk. He urged citizens not to neglect their health and lives by bathing in unauthorized places. "Considering the current weather conditions, this is very unsafe: the ice has not yet become sufficiently strong everywhere, there are places on the rivers where slush is flowing, and individual ice floes. In addition, in case of sudden health problems, there will be no medical workers nearby capable of providing the necessary first aid," noted the head of the department.
