Two fishermen drowned in the Vitebsk region

On July 9, in the Polotsk district, a pensioner was fishing at a fire pond and fell into the water. Presumably, he had an epileptic seizure.

On the underwater channel of the Novolukomlskaya HPP, a 35-year-old man's hook got snagged after another cast, he swam to unhook it and drowned.

In the regional center, in the Vitba River (about 300-400 meters upstream from Yubileiny Bridge), the body of a 23-year-old local resident was found, who had been in the water for about a week.

In total, since the beginning of the year, 38 people have died in the waters of the Vitebsk region, including 5 minors.
