The investment program for 2018 has been approved in the Vitebsk region

Deputies of the Vitebsk Regional Council today, at an extraordinary session, approved the investment program of the Vitebsk region for 2018. The chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Igor Isachenko, spoke about the specifics of the program document.

In total, it is planned to invest almost Br51 million in the reconstruction, construction, and design of communal property objects under the program, using funds from the regional budget and republican subsidies. Of these, about Br26.4 million are targeted and will be directed to the construction of engineering and transport infrastructure facilities, new street gas distribution networks, etc. The investment program for 2018 has a social focus, Igor Isachenko emphasized. To this end, all financial resources are concentrated on facilities with a high degree of readiness in order to put them into operation next year.

Thus, funding for the housing and communal services and housing construction sector will amount to Br10 million. Br9.6 million is planned for healthcare, which will be used to complete the reconstruction of surgical building No. 2 of the regional oncology dispensary, the central district hospital in Miory, and the Yug-7 polyclinic in the Bilevo microdistrict in Vitebsk. The main project in the field of physical culture and sports will be the construction of a specialized trampoline hall in Vitebsk. The funding volume for these purposes will be Br4 million.

In the sphere of general state activities, the program provides for the allocation of Br742.2 thousand for the construction of a dormitory building for the "Zhemchuzhina" Children's Rehabilitation and Health Center in the Lepel district. In addition, the investment program includes a list of over 60 objects that will be financed throughout the year as the regional budget is executed. The most important among them are the reconstruction of Gagarin Street (Vitebsk), the Polotsk overpass, and the continuation of the construction of Builders Avenue with its extension to the Bilevo microdistrict. "This is a very important project with a completion date of 2019. Funding for next year is planned in the amount of Br4.7 million. The implementation of the project will significantly relieve traffic flow and significantly

"will make life easier for the residents of the microdistrict," noted Igor Isachenko.
