In the Vitebsk region, it is planned to build 600 thousand sq. m of housing in 2013

October 25, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. In the Vitebsk region, it is planned to build 600 thousand sq.m. of housing in 2013. This was announced today at a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee by Vladimir Belous, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee's Committee for Architecture and Construction, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. According to Vladimir Belous, the region is planned to be assigned a target for the construction and commissioning of 600 thousand sq.m. of total housing area for 2013. At the same time, it is planned to allocate preferential loan funds only for the construction of 240 thousand sq.m. of residential buildings, including 140 houses with a total area of 10.8 thousand sq.m. in agricultural organizations. Funding is allocated for the construction of apartments for the resettlement of citizens from dilapidated and emergency housing, as well as social housing, rental housing, and housing for large families. It is planned to build about 350 thousand sq.m. at the expense of citizens' own funds and organizations without attracting loans. In total, from January to September 2012, 304.5 thousand sq.m. of total residential area were commissioned in the Vitebsk region from all sources of funding, or 76.1% of the annual target. Of the total volume, 124.9 thousand sq.m. were commissioned in rural areas and small towns, 62 houses (apartments) with a total area of 4.9 thousand sq.m. in agricultural organizations of the region, and 168.9 thousand sq.m. in apartment buildings in cities for citizens registered as needing housing improvement. 216 apartments with a total area of 16.1 thousand sq.m. were built for large families. Individual developers commissioned 99.9 thousand sq.m. of total residential area, which is 32.8% of the commissioned housing. In total, over nine months, more than Br1 trillion of investments were mastered for housing construction, including Br499 billion of preferential credit resources. Most districts fulfilled and overfulfilled the housing commissioning target set by the Council of Ministers (Ushachsky, Vitebsky, Dokshitsky, Dubrovensky, Lepelsky, Miorsky, Chashniksky, etc.). At the same time, Beshenkovichsky, Braslavsky, Gluboksky, Gorodoksky, Rossonsky, and Sennensky districts failed to cope with it. Vladimir Belous cited poor labor organization and insufficient control by customers and district executive committees over the construction process as the main reasons for this. Another factor was the insufficient concentration of workers at the commissioning facilities. Regarding the tasks for the fourth quarter, Vladimir Belous noted that it is necessary to concentrate the required number of workers and ensure the commissioning of at least 92 thousand sq.m. of total area of apartment buildings in the remaining time, to intensify work in individual housing construction areas, including the construction of power supply networks and access roads. It is also necessary to begin landscaping the territories of the commissioned houses without waiting for their completion. -0-
