In the Vitebsk region, 901 large families received apartments this year
The head of the parliamentary corps of the northern region said that 211 thousand sq.m of housing have been built in the Vitebsk region since the beginning of the year. "We are ahead of last year's pace. About 90 thousand sq.m have been built with state support - 901 large families have received improved apartments. Currently, there are 3378 families on the waiting list in the region. I think we will complete the program in the coming years, and these families will receive housing," said Vladimir Terentyev.
Today, in Shumilino, at 5 Ugnevenka Lane, keys were handed over to residents of a 40-apartment building. Among them are 30 large families; 104 children will live in the building. Among them is the Kocheryagin family. Mother Anna said that they have four children - a girl and three boys. Before receiving the apartment, they lived in a village. "The house has all the necessary conditions for a comfortable life, and it will be convenient for the children to get to kindergarten and school in Shumilino. The apartment is renovated, so we can move in and live already," shared Anna Kocheryagina.
The house was built by Shumilino PMK-70 in seven months. In the near future, another 5-story building will be laid in the same microdistrict. Next year, it should receive new residents. Currently, 91 families are on the waiting list for housing improvement in the Shumilino district.
