April 25, Vitebsk / Sergei Kochetov - BELTA /. In the Vitebsk region, as of 10:00 AM, over 347,000 voters participated in the voting, with a turnout of 38.8% (including early voting results). This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the chairman of the regional election commission, Vladimir Myadelets. There are 923 polling stations operating in the region. Today, active voter service is organized everywhere. For example, catering enterprises have set up a network of buffets and mobile trade outlets selling a wide range of food products, confectionery, and industrial goods. At the same time, in 14 districts of the region, the sale of alcoholic beverages at polling stations is prohibited by decision of local authorities, and in all other districts, fruit and berry wines will not be available in the assortment of trade outlets at the polling stations. In addition, medical specialists are on duty, and additional teams have been formed at ambulance stations. Concerts by amateur art groups are being held. In total, 60 district commissions for the election of deputies of the regional council and 240 territorial commissions for the election of deputies of district, city, village, and settlement councils are operating in the region. -0-
