This decision was made today at a joint meeting of the Presidium of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies and the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, a BELTA correspondent reports. From August 27 to 29, joint meetings of the presidiums of district and city councils of deputies and district and city executive committees were held in the region, at which candidates for members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus from the Vitebsk region were nominated. 8 people were nominated as candidates: Director of the subsidiary republican unitary enterprise "Gosstroyexpertiza for the Vitebsk Region" Nikolai Konevalov, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets, Chairman of the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee Natalya Kochanova, Director of the joint limited liability company "Marko" Nikolai Martynov, Chief Physician of the Orsha Central Polyclinic Vladimir Plytkevich, Rector of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov Alexander Solodkov, Director of the open joint-stock company "Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm" Anna Shareiko, and General Director of the production republican unitary enterprise "Vitebskoblgaz" Petr Shershen. The elections will be held by secret ballot on September 25 at a meeting of the councils of deputies of the basic level. In total, the deputy corps of the specified councils consists of 838 people. The venue for the meeting has been determined as the "Vitebsk" concert hall.
