Delegates of the All-Belarusian People's Congress are being nominated in the Vitebsk region
In accordance with the Decree of the Head of State, the total number of participants and invited persons at the VI All-Belarusian People's Assembly will be 2.7 thousand people. Participants of the forum from the regions and Minsk are elected taking into account the representation norms of district and city Councils of Deputies and the most numerous public associations. At the same time, no more than 310 citizens from each region will participate in the assembly.
On December 30, at a session of the Vitebsk City Council of Deputies, 30 people were elected as participants of the VI All-Belarusian People's Assembly. These are representatives of the city council and the regional Council of Deputies. Among them are representatives of industry, housing and communal services, education, healthcare and social services, mass media, and military personnel. They took an active part in the work of public reception offices and dialogue platforms, so they know what problems concern the city residents.
As clarified by the Chairman of the City Council Vladimir Beleevich, two methods of nomination are provided: from the Councils of Deputies and from public associations.
The Vitebsk regional organization of the NGO "Belarusian Union of Women" will send 10 of its delegates to the upcoming forum of national importance. The candidacies nominated by the district representative offices were approved today at a meeting of the board of the regional organization of the women's council, which was held via video conferencing.
The delegates include educators, medical professionals, social workers, and employees of the industrial sector from the northern region. As noted by the chairperson of the regional organization of the Belarusian Women's Union, Elena Martynova, they are all worthy representatives of the women's movement in the Vitebsk region, who have distinguished themselves in both public activities and at their workplaces, and command respect and support within their work collectives.
