In the Vitebsk region, 16 out of 21 socio-economic development indicators were met in 9 months

October 25, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. In the Vitebsk region, 16 out of 21 socio-economic development indicators were met in January-September. This was announced today at a meeting of the regional executive committee by the First Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Novatsky, according to a BELTA correspondent. The Chairman of the Economy Committee of the Regional Executive Committee, Svyatoslav Zarovsky, spoke about the main results of the socio-economic development of the region. He noted that based on the results of 9 months, most of the established indicators in the region are being met and dynamically increasing. Among all regions of the republic, the Vitebsk region ranks first in gross regional product, the share of costs for the acquisition of machinery, equipment, vehicles in the total volume of investments in fixed assets, exports of goods in general across the territory, exports of goods and balance excluding oil and oil products, and republican organizations. The region also ensures a leading growth rate of labor productivity compared to the growth rates of real wages. At the same time, the targets for the share of shipped innovative products in the total volume of shipped industrial products, industrial sales profitability, export of services, net foreign direct investment, etc., have not been met. Vladimir Novatsky gave a good assessment of the work on fulfilling the established targets for the region as a whole, but criticized the results of activities in the context of regions. In particular, out of 19 indicators for January-September, Sennensky district failed to meet 16, Chashniksky and Sharkovshchinsky districts - 15 each, Gluboksky, Rossonsky, Tolochinsky and Ushachsky districts - 14 each. A significant number of tasks are also not being fulfilled by Polotsky, Beshenkovichsky, Dubrovensky, Lioznensky, Lepelsky, Miorsky, Vitebsky, Orshansky, Postavsky, Shumilinsky, Gorodoksky, Braslavsky, Dokshitsky districts, Vitebsk, Polotsk, Novopolotsk and Orsha. "First of all, this indicates the need to urgently review the work in a number of areas, conduct a detailed analysis and develop specific actions in order to fulfill all established socio-economic development indicators," emphasized Vladimir Novatsky. "All approved targets for indicators were adopted consciously, and it is necessary to take real measures to fulfill them," added the First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee. Based on the results of 2012, the region is projected to meet 17 indicators, with the exception of net foreign direct investment, the balance of foreign trade in services in general across the territory and excluding republican organizations, and gross agricultural output.-0-
