In the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic, pregnant women will be told about spiritual midwifery and taught to dance to classical music
At concerts in the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic, expectant mothers will be told about spiritual midwifery and taught to dance to classical music. This was announced at a press conference by Tatiana Savitskaya, the host of the "Weaving a Soul from Notes" series.
This year marks the 5th anniversary of this innovative idea of the regional philharmonic. According to Tatiana Savitskaya, Vitebsk remains the only city where concert and educational programs for expectant mothers are held at least once a month, as a series, rather than occasionally. "We have 9 concerts in a season, corresponding to the number of months of pregnancy. This time, we plan to perform specially selected musical pieces, taking into account the wishes of our regular listeners. Many mothers attend the series concerts during their second and subsequent pregnancies, with their children and families. As they themselves say, children calm down while listening to classical music and are introduced to the world of high art from an early age," explained Tatiana Savitskaya.
The concerts of the "Weaving a Soul from Notes" series are not just about music. Each meeting features invited specialists and guests: psychologists, gynecologists, cultural and art workers. Children's psychologists bring materials for babies and older children – books, educational games. Special cartoons related to music are shown, for example, "Lullabies of the World." And in the current season, a fitness consultant will attend the second concert and educational program "Living Right is Great!" (October 24) to give valuable advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and talk about spiritual midwifery, a special preparation for mothers to establish a "connection" with their baby.
"We will also continue to teach mothers and fathers singing, performing simple vocalises and classical canons. And this season, we plan to dance to classical music with pregnant women. Ladies who come with their husbands will be especially lucky," added Tatiana Savitskaya.
