New computer classes and a museum have opened at the Vitebsk State Medical College named after Academician I.P. Antonov

The new classes are equipped with 17 computers.
– This is a wonderful gift for us; working with the latest computers will simplify the teaching process and improve its quality, – says Natalia Shibanova, a programmer and instructor at the Vitebsk State Medical College named after Academician I.P. Antonov.

The museum of the educational institution will also play an important role in the educational process. It showcases the rich history of the college with unique historical documents and tells about its famous graduates.

– There is an ancient saying that without knowing the past, one cannot have a fruitful present and a good future, – reflects Yuri Derkach, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor. – Therefore, it is very important for students who have chosen medicine as their profession to understand how the formation of medical science and practice took place, how the knowledge that helped people become healthy was formed. In the museum, we see the names and surnames of people who stood at the origins of the formation of scientific and practical medicine. And knowing how medical science developed in the Vitebsk region helps us to realize the importance of our profession. Times change, diseases change, but the main task of medical workers remains: to always be competent and have the opportunity to provide quality medical care.
