The Vitebsk Medical University hosted the regional stage of the "New Names of Belarus-2017" creative competition for work collectives.
The competition participants performed in the nominations "Vocal Art", "Original Genre", and "Choreography". However, the "Vocal Art" nomination turned out to be the brightest and most spectacular.
Representatives of the Novopolotsk City Hospital captivated the audience with their theatrical performance "Maslenitsa", showcasing Belarusian folk rituals and characters, and obstetrician-gynecologist Elena Voytekhovich with her unforgettable performance of "Slutsk Weavers". The vocal group "Polochanochka" from the Polotsk City Hospital, which included the chairperson of the primary trade union organization Svetlana Braufer, demonstrated a high level of performance skill, artistry, and costumes. The virtuosic performance of the instrumental duo of medical university employees Denis Shkiryanov (guitar) and Alexey Khnykov (balalaika) was impossible to forget. Their medley became a colorful and vibrant event of the celebration. In the spoken word genre, everyone was charmed by the anesthesiologist-resuscitator of the Liozno District Hospital, Nikolai Shpyrkovich, who read Nil Gilevich's humorous poetic story "How I Got Involved".
"The number of people wishing to perform indicates that there are many talented and creative individuals in our work collectives. Of course, they are not professional artists, but all these people are genuinely passionate about the world of creativity and art. Some love to sing and dance, while others surprise with their acting skills and virtuosic mastery of musical instruments," noted the chairman of the regional committee, Vladislav Muzhichenko.
The winners received valuable gifts and certificates from the trade union, but the best surprise for
each of them will be participation in the republican competition of labor talents "New Names of Belarus-2017".Elena Ustinova, press service of the FPB for the Vitebsk region.
