The Vitebsk Regional Clinical Maternity Hospital congratulated 20 mothers and their newborns on the upcoming New Year
– This is how noisily, in a New Year's atmosphere and with gifts, the babies spend the first days of their lives. May the holiday always reign in your soul, and may your children bring you joy, – Vyacheslav Durnov addressed the mothers.
Many gifts were brought to the maternity hospital to help mothers care for their children, as well as for themselves.
– It is always a pleasure to give gifts on New Year's. They lift spirits and bring joy to mothers and babies, – noted Valentina Bogatyreva.
Mothers with babies also received gifts and congratulations from the Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee **Andrey Lyubimov**, Head of the Main Department for Healthcare of the Regional Executive Committee **Mikhail Vishnevetsky**, and representatives of other organizations and institutions of the city.
– Currently, 65% of women giving birth are those who came to the healthcare institution for their second and third child. And this tells us that our people are confident in the future, they are building families and having children, because all the conditions for this have been created in our country, – noted the chief physician of the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Maternity Hospital **Elena Leonovich**.
For example, Ekaterina Vasinkevich, a resident of Dokshitsy, became a mother for the fifth time yesterday. The baby girl was named Victoria. Her siblings, 20-year-old Anton, 18-year-old Daria, 8-year-old Karina, and 4-year-old Alexander, are eagerly awaiting her at home.
– All the children's birthdays fall in spring and autumn, and this is the first time a girl has been born on the eve of the New Year. Now we will celebrate several holidays in winter, – said the mother of many children. – This is not my first time giving birth in this maternity hospital, the staff here is wonderful and the conditions are good. Therefore, I want to express great gratitude to everyone!
Elena Matyushonok from Senno will also celebrate the New Year in the maternity hospital for the first time, but she is not upset about it at all, because, according to her, a child is the best gift for a lifetime.
– Four years ago, I gave birth to my first son, Viktor, and on December 27th, my second son. I named him Alexander. I am very happy, my mood is excellent, and I feel comfortable here, but I miss home, and my husband and son are eagerly waiting for us, – said Elena Matyushonok.
