A celebration for people with disabilities will be held at the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore

On September 5, the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore will host the now traditional regional festival-competition of arts and crafts for people with disabilities "Sunny World for All". The main idea of the festival-competition is the inculturation and social adaptation of young people with disabilities. The festival unites creative people with disabilities from the Vitebsk region based on common interests, creates a communicative, artistically designed space so necessary for people, and provides an opportunity to exchange creative experience.

120 people are expected to participate in the festival. The exhibition features over 400 creative works by people with disabilities from 24 Territorial Centers for Social Services of the Population of the Vitebsk region and the city of Vitebsk, and 5 regional disability societies. The works presented at the exhibition are made using various techniques: graphics and painting, decoupage, wood and ceramic sculpture, soft toys, ceramics, quilling, embroidery, knitting, beadwork, straw crafts, fabric crafts, felted wool, ribbons, and a collection of designer clothing. The age range of participants has expanded from 15 to 45 years and older.

The bright, life-affirming creativity of people fighting illness evokes admiration and respect for them and for those who help people with disabilities live with dignity and to the fullest.

The exhibition will be open from September 3 to September 30.

This year's festival program is more diverse and interesting. On September 5, from 10:00 AM, participants and guests of the festival will view the exhibition of creative works at the Town Hall. Then, at the Vitebsk Concert Hall, the winners and participants of the competition will be awarded diplomas and memorable gifts, and creative groups from the Vitebsk Culture Center will present a concert.

Gifts are provided by the city organization "BRSM", ChTUP "MegaEurotex", UP "Kosmetika Plus" ( "Yves Rocher").

At the I.E. Repin Museum-Estate "Zdravnevo," participants of the competition will be treated to theatrical excursions through the museum led by students from the College of Culture and Arts, as well as master classes in painting, sculpting, and isoniti (string art) conducted by artists and students from the Art and Graphics Department of VSU named after P.M. Masherov. Students from the Industrial-Pedagogical College will provide exclusive hairstyles and makeup for all attendees.

A sports game zone will be organized by volunteers from the Vitebsk Regional Educational and Methodological Center for Physical Education of the Population.

Everyone will have the opportunity to transform into characters from Repin's paintings created in "Zdravnevo" at the improvised photo studio "Elegant Photography."

A tea party with a tasting of products from Vitebsk enterprises, including "Vitebskhlebprom," "Myasokombinat," "Vitba," "Dvinsky Brovar," "Moloko," and "Evroopt," will take place in Repin's garden.

Many city institutions and societies, for whom no trouble is foreign, assisted in organizing the celebration. After all, there is nothing more joyful in life than bringing joy to others.
