An exhibition dedicated to the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Rus' is taking place at the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore
A photo exhibition dedicated to the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus' is taking place at the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore until August 26, 2013.
The author of the works, Archpriest Alexander Zakharov, loves his city and admires its beauty. He believes that churches lend a special beauty to the city, as they express the soul of the people. People have always created them with joy and inspiration. These photographs are unusual in that the churches of ancient Vitebsk are shown from high vantage points in the city. The shooting locations for Alexander Zakharov include the bell tower of the Assumption Cathedral, the towers of the Town Hall and the Regional Executive Committee, and high-rise buildings in various parts of Vitebsk.
