The warmest words were addressed to them by Elena Martynova, Chairperson of the Vitebsk Regional Branch of the BSW, and Elena Leonovich, Chief Physician of the maternity hospital and board member of the women's organization. And, of course, a man presented flowers on this pre-holiday spring day – Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Head of the Main Department for Healthcare of the Regional Executive Committee.
It is noteworthy that one mother was visited right in the delivery room. Two more women are about to hear the long-awaited cry of a newborn, and one of them for the sixth time. Vitebsk resident Anna Karchevskaya was met upon discharge, where her husband Dmitry, two older children, and other relatives were waiting for her with flowers. The woman gave birth in this medical institution for the third time, and even COVID-19, which she had contracted while pregnant, did not prevent her from feeling the joy of motherhood again and holding a healthy son, Tikhon, in her arms today.
