The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee honored labor veterans, distinguished people of the region, and those who are currently enhancing its potential
-- Your merits are not a momentary triumph. It is glory, experience that you have accumulated over the years. It is you who laid the foundation brick by brick for the well-being of the region that we have today, -- said the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, to those gathered. – Emphasizing the importance of the moment, we begin the celebrations precisely with you, to show that you are the most important, and today is your day. We say thank you to you once again for the labor, effort, and finally, the health that you have invested in serving our Motherland.
Then, in the meeting room of the Regional Council of Deputies, an award ceremony was held in honor of the 85th anniversary of the formation of the Vitebsk region for those who are currently enhancing the potential of Vitebsk region.
The Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Andreichenko, who himself rightfully belongs to those who contributed to the development of Vitebsk region, having served as chairman of the regional executive committee from 1994 to 2008, congratulated those present in the hall, noted the complex and worthy path taken by the northern region of the country, and its great potential.
-- Today, it is a highly developed region of the Republic of Belarus. We, the people of Vitebsk, are proud of our unique nature, traditions, and the names of great educators, artists, and poets, -- noted Vladimir Andreichenko. -- Vitebsk region also plays a significant role in the country's economic development. Giants like "Naftan," Orsha Linen Mill, Lukomlskaya GRES, and our footwear enterprises are brands of the Vitebsk region and the country. This also includes agricultural enterprises, the broiler poultry farm, "Yubileiny" agro-combine, private enterprise "Vitkonprodukt," "Mayak Braslavsky," and many others. The President of Belarus pays great attention to the Vitebsk region because he is our countryman. And thanks to this attention, as well as your hard work, dear veterans, youth, and production leaders, our country and region are developing and becoming more beautiful. People make history. And it is gratifying that today in this hall are the leading workers of the Vitebsk region, to whom, on behalf of the country's leadership, I express my sincere gratitude for your labor, efforts, and advanced experience. Because advanced experience is the foundation for growth and the implementation of new programs and projects. At the same time, advanced experience indicates that we still have many unrealized opportunities, and the Vitebsk region has great potential, both in agriculture and in industrial production. I want to thank you for your work in the Year of Peace and Creation and wish that in this challenging time, we remain united, and also wish peace, health, well-being to everyone, and success for the prosperity of Belarus.
