Winners of republican and international Olympiads and competitions are honored at the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee

Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin:
– Dear friends, during the pre-New Year events, we traditionally honor those who truly deserve it – our educators and talented students who have achieved significant success in scientific and educational projects.
It is gratifying that our region consistently holds one of the leading positions in the country, and our young people serve as an example for others.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to the educators for their invaluable work, love, knowledge, and energy that they invest in our children. This is one of the most important and relevant tasks today.
Dear young people, I congratulate you on the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays! I wish you health, peaceful skies, and all the very best.
Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Durnov congratulated the participants on their successes in 2024 and shared his hopes for the future:
– It is especially pleasing that the geography of our victories is expanding, and all districts are actively participating in the Olympiad movement. However, not everyone has reached the finish line yet, and we hope that next year we will cover all districts of our region.
In the coming 2025, I wish you not to slow down and to continue demonstrating your talents and skills at the national level.
Head of the Main Department for Education of the Regional Executive Committee Dmitry Khoma:
– The successes of our students are confirmed by the numerous awards they have won both at republican Olympiads and competitions, and at international events. This year, the students won 10 medals at international Olympiads. It is especially worth noting that three schoolchildren from Gymnasium No. 2 in Vitebsk performed brilliantly as part of the Republic of Belarus team at the International Mathematical Olympiad. We are proud of these achievements.
In addition, over a hundred diplomas awarded at the final stage of the republican оlympiad attest to the high level of training of talented and gifted children in the Vitebsk region, confirming its strong position in the country.
