An owl rescued from death by townspeople has settled in the Vitebsk Zoo
This time, among the new residents is an adult eagle owl. The bird was saved from imminent death by caring townspeople who brought it to the zoo. Probably because active crow nesting is currently underway, with crows fiercely defending their offspring, the owl's injury is not accidental, but rather a pattern. Zoo specialists examined the injured bird and provided assistance. Despite initial feeding difficulties – only with tweezers – the bird is now feeling satisfactory and readily accepts food.
The behavior and condition of the feathered creature will be carefully monitored, and as soon as the eagle owl recovers, it will be released into its natural habitat. As noted at the zoo, the more time a bird spends with people, the more difficult it will be for it in the wild. Therefore, every effort is being made to ensure the injured predator can return to flight as soon as possible.
