On Sunday, March 23, elections to the local Councils of Deputies of Belarus of the 27th convocation will be held in Belarus
Polling stations will open their doors at 8 a.m. and will operate without interruption until 8 p.m.
Ballots are issued based on the list of citizens of Belarus participating in the elections of deputies of local Councils, upon presentation of a passport of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus. Instead of a passport, a voter may present a state employee ID, a military ID (for conscripts), a pension certificate, or a student ID (if they contain a photograph), a certificate from internal affairs bodies (for citizens who have lost their passport). In addition, in accordance with Article 58 of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus, citizens of the Russian Federation permanently residing in the territory of our country have the right to participate in the elections of deputies of local Councils of Deputies.
Residents of Vitebsk will have to elect deputies of the city and regional Councils of Deputies. Polling stations in the city on the Dvina have adequately prepared to receive voters. Concert programs by creative groups and performers will be offered to their attention.
As always, trade will not let you down. A widest range of domestic products will be presented by more than 80 business entities at polling stations both on election day and even on the eve, March 22.
Voters at polling stations will be able to purchase food and industrial goods from OJSC “Vesta”, “Vitebskiye Produkty”, “Nika”, “Vitmil”, “Vitebsky Myasokombinat”, LLC “Evrotorg”, retail chains “Rodnaya Storona”, “Sosedi”, as well as UP “Rogmil”, LLC “Optima”, Brest Hosiery Factory, OJSC “KIM”, “Charovnitsa” and others.
On Saturday, March 22, trade services will be provided from 10:00 to 18:00, and on Sunday, March 23, from 8:00 to 20:00.
