Valentina Bogatyreva: "Sanctionary international policy of Western countries. What else to call it if not genocide?"

Валентина Богатырёва: "Санкционная международная политика западных стран. Как это назвать, если не геноцидом?"
Calling for sanctions is a crime against humanity. This is the conviction of Valentina Bogatyreva, Rector of VSU named after P. Masherov.

— The sanctions policy of Western countries is frankly inhumane and cynical, aimed at states that want to think for themselves and act in the interests of their citizens, to slow down the economic growth of certain states, undermine their socio-political stability, and change existing political regimes. In its essence, it is undisguised genocide of entire peoples, — frankly states Valentina Bogatyreva.

— Sanctions deprive people of the opportunity to live and work normally — this is a well-thought-out cynical plan to redistribute world wealth in the interests of the leadership of certain Western countries. What else can this be called if not genocide?

The Rector of VSU is one of the initiators of revising approaches to the study of socio-humanitarian disciplines in universities as a response to new challenges and threats to Belarusian statehood and the well-being of our people. She also noted that the Ministry of Education has made a momentous decision: starting from September 1 of this year, all first-year students will be required to study three seriously updated disciplines — philosophy, the history of Belarusian statehood, and modern political economy, which are included in the socio-humanitarian block. Valentina Bogatyreva has something to be proud of in this regard, as she not only contributed to the adoption of these decisions but also, with sleeves rolled up, is co-authoring the textbook "Modern Political Economy" with a team of like-minded individuals. What is its importance? The expert directly and sincerely explains that it is political economy that provides the basics of economic teachings. For many years, the main emphasis in the study of economic theory was placed on liberal economic science, which actually imposed a psychology of egoism and a consumer ideology.

— We have completely forgotten about Marxism and the three main factors — labor, land, and capital, — is convinced the head of VSU. — Moreover, Western advisors, imposing liberal-market values on Belarusians, at the same time continued to study Marxism in their universities. Moreover, for example, in the USA, Marx's "Capital" has been the most read book on economics in the last decade. Today it is time for us to talk about this teaching with renewed vigor. It is time to abandon the outdated assessment of economic efficiency through profit. It is necessary to show the distribution of newly created value between labor, capital, and society. Of course, the team of authors of the textbook did not limit themselves to modernizing the Marxist approach, but also supplemented modern political economy with geopolitics and geo-economics.

Valentina Bogatyreva stated that today there is no economy without politics. Just as there is no interdependence between geo-economics and geopolitics.

— Today, in the Anglo-Saxon community, living by the law, as our former "partners" show us, is not fashionable and not fitting, — noted the rector. — The masks have been dropped, and the Western world no longer hides its selfish interests. Many people today understand that things will never be the same as they were. It can be unequivocally stated that the sanctions pressure has led to the destruction of the existing global financial architecture. Western elites, for some reason, arrogantly believed that Slavic peoples would simply obey their orders, but a different era has come.

Meanwhile, the rector of VSU emphasized that the effect of sanctions pressure on Belarus is not as strong as foreign adversaries would like. It's all about the competently thought-out and consistent policy of the Belarusian state.
