Valery Meladze sang for resuscitators and journalists at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk"
July 14, Vitebsk / Eduard Pivovar – BELTA/. Valery Meladze dedicated his songs at the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk international arts festival to workers of two professions. The solo concert of this popular artist took place last night at the Summer Amphitheatre, a BELTA correspondent reports.
"Are there any journalists in the hall?" he asked at the end of his performance. Hearing a unanimous "yes," Meladze announced that he decided to dedicate the next song to "the most troublesome people," who, in his opinion, are representatives of the media. "That's your job," he added and sang his old hit "Girls from High Society."
The artist dedicated his next song to the staff of the intensive care and anesthesia department of Minsk Maternity Hospital No. 2. One of his fans, who came on stage with a bouquet of flowers, asked the singer to perform the song "Salut, Vera!" for them. "Resuscitators and anesthesiologists do a job much more important than ours, artists," Valery Meladze expressed his opinion.
Fortunately, the artist himself might need the help of medical specialists today, though not for such serious issues. The fact is that in the first half of the concert, he began to have voice problems: apparently, the cool night air in Vitebsk had an effect. The singer initially asked journalists not to write about this fact, but then, waving his hand, added that the entire internet would be full of scandalous news.
To be fair, it should be noted that the slight hoarseness of the artist did not affect the concert itself. The audience was delighted with Meladze's two-hour performance, singing along with pleasure to his numerous hits. And the artist not only sang but also delivered a real Georgian toast to Belarus, to Vitebsk, and to the young contestants participating in the festival, and then drank a glass of wine.
"Despite problems with my vocal cords and the cool weather, this was one of the warmest concerts I've had in recent years," the singer thanked the Vitebsk audience. -0-
