Gross agricultural production indicators should give way to qualitative ones - A. Yakobson
August 11, Braslav district / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Quantitative indicators of economic activity of agricultural producers should give way to qualitative ones. This was stated today at a meeting with the labor collective of SPC "Mayak Braslavsky" by the Chairman of the Committee of State Control of Belarus Alexander Yakobson, BELTA correspondent reports.
"Managers need to think not about gross output, but about profitability, revenue, labor productivity, and product exports," emphasized the head of the control department. He considers it unacceptable that according to the results of the agricultural sector of the Vitebsk region in 2010, the profitability of grain production was minus 20%.
In SPC "Mayak Braslavsky", the profitability of pork production is plus 5%. According to Alexander Yakobson, this is not enough for the normal operation of the SPC. He proposed that the management of the agricultural cooperative consider the possibility of creating a holding company with a meat processing enterprise to generate profit from the final product.
According to Alexander Yakobson, the non-parity growth of prices and wages worries the head of state and the government. However, wage growth must be ensured by qualitative economic indicators - high productivity and profitability, low material intensity. "Each enterprise must export half of its products," emphasized Alexander Yakobson.
Chairman of the CSC Alexander Yakobson visited the Braslav district today on a working trip, where he got acquainted with the development of agricultural production, the progress of the harvesting campaign, met with the labor collectives of SPC "Mayak Braslavsky" and the branch of RUPP "Vitebskhlebprom" - Braslav bakery, and answered the questions of the workers.-0-
