The Union State Youth Cycling Race will take place on the roads of the Vitebsk region from September 14 to 17
The cycling race "Youth of Russia and Belarus - the road to the future of the Union State" along the route: Smolensk - Demidov - Velizh - Usvyaty - Nevel - Ozerishche - Gorodok - Vitebsk - Orsha - Glubokoye - Mound of Glory runs through the region. The total length will be over 800 km.
The event is attended by leaders of youth public organizations, young scientists, teachers and students of educational institutions. A total of 60 people from Russia and Belarus are participating in the cycling race. The program of the cycling race includes visits to memorial complexes, laying wreaths and flowers at obelisks and monuments to soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War, participation in rallies, sports festivals, concerts, meetings with youth activists, schoolchildren and veterans. The program also includes a round table on the topic "Prospects for cooperation between the youth of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation within the framework of the Union State" in Smolensk, the laying of the "Alley of Friendship" in the city of Demidov, as well as a teleconference "Youth International Cooperation, Problems and Prospects" between the cities of Vitebsk and Moscow, and many other events.
The closing ceremony of the cycling race will take place on September 17 at the "Mound of Glory" memorial complex in the Minsk region.
