Verkhnedvinsk has begun preparations for the regional "Dazhynki-2018". What will change in the district center?
In connection with the celebration, the city will receive a new impetus for development and will be significantly transformed. Large volumes of capital investments are envisaged. Business entities of all forms of ownership will contribute to the common cause.
Local authorities, as noted by Sergey Valkovich, Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, keep the preparation issues under constant control: the situation is analyzed in detail at staff meetings, and measures are taken to solve tasks in a timely manner. Large-scale transformations will affect almost all areas: from housing and communal services and capital construction to healthcare, culture, and sports.
Thus, more than 3.5 million rubles are planned to be allocated for the capital repair of 16 residential buildings and the current repair of another 22. The communal services group has already repaired 50% of the planned roofs.
Significant changes will affect the street and road network. Currently, part of the work on Oktyabrskaya Street has been completed. The design and estimate documentation for the capital repair of Sovetskaya Street, where it is planned to invest more than 2 million rubles, is under expert review: the roadway will be asphalted, sidewalks will be improved, lighting will be replaced, and road signs will be installed.
The largest social facility will be a sports and recreation complex with a swimming pool, the construction of which has also begun. The central square of Verkhnedvinsk will be reconstructed with access to the Western Dvina River embankment, improvement of the adjacent territory and the city square, where a heroes' alley is planned to be created. In accordance with the landscaping concept, new flower beds and landscape compositions will appear in the city.
Repair work will cover kindergartens and schools, the Center for Children and Youth, the district House of Culture, the central district library, and the children's art school. To improve medical services, it is planned to re-equip the hotel building for the polyclinic. Retail and catering facilities will become more comfortable and attractive for customers.
Enterprises and organizations of the district center are actively involved in the renovation of their buildings and the improvement of their assigned territories. Local residents are tidying up.
Currently, for most facilities, design and estimate documentation is being prepared, and work is being carried out in indoor areas. For example, at Secondary School No. 2, the assembly hall is being renovated by Novopolotsk LLC "Novostroyservis". As the director Dmitry Aukharionok said, it is planned to complete it by the end of the month. The floors have already been concreted, the walls are being prepared for decorative plaster, and a two-level suspended ceiling with LED lighting is being installed. Designers have come up with interesting design solutions that will give the hall a modern look.
Verkhnedvinsk intends to meet the holiday guests with dignity. Everything that will be done during the preparation for "Dazhynki" will remain in the region, help improve the infrastructure, and increase the quality of life for people.
