Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory was the first in Belarus to confirm the high quality of its products in the EU

November 20, Verkhnedvinsk district / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory was the first in Belarus to receive certificates of conformity to the LST EN ISO 9001:2008 quality management system and LST EN ISO 22000:2005 food safety, a BELTA correspondent reports.

As explained to journalists by the Minister of Agriculture of Belarus, Semen Shapiro, this certificate was issued by a Lithuanian certification body accredited by the National Bureau of the Republic of Lithuania and authorized by the EU to conduct audits and issue certificates of conformity to European quality and safety requirements. The certificate confirms the high quality of Belarusian products. "This is a window to Europe for our products," the minister emphasized.

The Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory was established in 1964. The enterprise was corporatized in 1999. The plant specializes in the production of hard rennet cheeses. The share of fatty cheeses in the total volume of production is over 60%. For 10 months of the current year, products worth Br47.4 billion were produced, which is 16.3% more compared to the same period last year. The volume of consumer goods production increased by 32.4% and amounted to Br38.1 billion.-0-
