Verkhnedvinsk butter and cheese factory produced the first 20 tons of cheese in a new workshop
May 4, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The first 20 tons of hard cheeses have been produced at the new cheese-making shop of OJSC "Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory", the enterprise director Andrey Bezzubov informed a BELTA correspondent.
According to him, the new division of the enterprise can be compared to a cheese production plant. Equipment from the Austrian company "Berch-Laska Produktions-und Handels GmbH" has been installed here, which represents a single complex - from water iron removal systems to treatment facilities and its own boiler house. The line is equipped with a CIP washing system that meets European requirements. The technological equipment completely eliminates the human factor in cheese production, all processes are automated and are under the control of operators.
The commissioning of the modern cheese-making shop will allow the enterprise to double the range of products manufactured and to start producing cheeses of the Russian group and cheeses with propionic bacteria. Previously, only cheeses of the Dutch group were produced in Verkhnedvinsk, the director explained. In addition, the new automatic line processes 180 tons of milk per day, whereas before the enterprise processed up to 120 tons. The projected production of products will amount to 5-6 thousand tons of cheese per year.
The butter and cheese factory specializes in the production of 6 types of cheeses and dairy products, with about 40 types of products in total. In the first quarter of 2009, the joint-stock company produced commodity products at comparable prices worth Br11.2 billion. The growth rate was 111%. Products worth over $3 million were exported.
OJSC "Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory" was registered in 1999. The founder of the enterprise is the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The state owns 95.3% of the shares. -0-
