Verkhnedvinsk enterprise "Invet" supplies innovative calf boxes to the Russian market
Individual stalls, or calf houses, produced by this enterprise from the Verkhnedvinsk district are already well-known not only to representatives of the Belarusian agro-industrial complex but also in Russia and Kazakhstan. Now, "Inviet" offers modular stalls, or pens, manufactured according to a Canadian design. The new product has a collapsible structure, meaning its shape and size can be easily changed, and it can be disassembled and assembled, for example, for disinfection, transportation, and reconfiguration.
Ventilation is adjustable, and it includes hanging equipment: a 7-liter feeder for milk and colostrum, a feeder for introducing compound feed, a water bucket, and a feeder for dry feed and mineral supplements. The stall is made of high-quality polymer materials that are impact-resistant and resistant to weather conditions.
– We started producing the new product on June 1st of last year and presented it at the "Belagro-2015" exhibition almost immediately. This is a unique product in our country; no one else manufactures such stalls. Essentially, it provides ideal conditions for calves in a covered environment, – said the General
. – Recently, we supplied products to the Voronezh region, to the farm of "Minskgaz". In total, 39% of the calf boxes produced last year were sold to the Russian Federation. We are also counting on new agreements following the recent Moscow exhibition "Agroferm", where we presented veterinary products. In general, Sergey Nikolaevich is confident that participation in exhibitions is necessary, as it is one of the ways to enter new markets and compensate for lost production volumes. This was indeed the case last year due to the incomplete loading of Belarusian machine-building enterprises, for which "Invettech" manufactured fuel tanks and other components on rotational molding lines.
– Currently, we supply significantly fewer tanks for assembly than in 2012. This cooperation brought a good economic effect, we increased our capacity – installed four rotational molding lines, as it is important to be a reliable partner where the assembly process can depend on a single part. Accordingly, we have also increased our volumes, – explained Sergey Gromadko. – Today we have four rotational molding lines, and given the decrease in fuel tank production volumes, our main task is to compensate for losses, develop new products, and reorient to other products in order to load the existing equipment.
However, it offers unlimited possibilities. To clarify: rotational molding is an open process of plastic mass molding, which occurs at high temperature and low
pressure, where heating and rotation in two perpendicular planes are used to produce hollow seamless products. The factory's first two molds were for a fuel tank of one model and a calf hutch. Now, thanks to the factory designers, the enterprise has hundreds of molds. And they constantly strive to find new ones.Currently, under the leadership of the promising young head of the technical department, Vadim Spiridovich, we are developing products for urban improvement: sandboxes installed at bus stops, large-volume planters 90 cm high, plastic boards for lawns and flowerbeds, as well as outdoor waste bins modeled after European manufacturers. In addition, we hope for agreements with machine builders to expand the range of products they need for assembly.
As we can see, prospects are emerging. With the onset of warm weather, land reclamation enterprises also become more active, purchasing drainage pipes here. Consumer goods traditionally occupy their niche. The only thing we had to deal with was a shortage of working capital for the purchase of raw materials, including those of foreign production. This means that currency fluctuations also make their adjustments to the enterprise's activities. Especially since the main export market for "Inveta" is Russia.
On the other hand, considering that the construction of livestock farms in Belarus is not very active at the moment, it is our neighbors who help in the sale of agricultural products. To date, calf pens from the village of Bigosovo, Verkhnedvinsk district, have been installed in farms in the Smolensk region,
Leningrad, Novgorod, Tver, Bryansk, Kaluga, Vladimir, Ryazan, Lipetsk, Belgorod, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and other regions of Russia. And there is room for improvement in this direction, they are confident at the enterprise.
