The Vitebsk Philharmonic has prepared spring premieres of musical performances for young audiences

March 13, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. A series of spring premieres awaits young Vitebsk residents, for whom the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic has prepared three new musical performances. The artistic director of the philharmonic, Nelly Matsaberidze, told a BELTA correspondent about this. The first spring surprise will be the premiere of the musical fairy tale "Patchwork and the Cloud" by the outstanding Russian composer Boris Tchaikovsky, based on the literary work by Sofia Prokofieva. The plot of the fairy tale is based on the narrative of the touching friendship between a girl named Patchwork and the Cloud, about the eternal confrontation between good and evil, from which good always emerges victorious. The action takes place in a fairy-tale kingdom. Wonderful music allows us to reveal the inner experiences of the characters, creates their musical portraits and captivates with amazing dramaturgy, which in turn helps listeners broaden their understanding of the "musical fairy tale" genre. For the first time, the philharmonic invited a theater director to stage a musical work. This project is a joint effort of Vitebsk director Anton Grishkevich and soloists of the philharmonic Oksana Novikova and Elena Grakova, host Tatiana Savitskaya and accompanist Tatiana Shakhray. "For the philharmonic team, working on a musical fairy tale with a theater director has become an interesting experiment. Anton brought a new style for us to the production," noted Nelly Matsaberidze. The premiere of the musical fairy tale "Patchwork and the Cloud" is scheduled for March 20. The next gift for young listeners will be the premiere of the musical program "Hero of Children's Books," which is essentially a unique musical journey into the world of heroes from beloved literary works. This is another joint project of theater director Anton Grishkevich with philharmonic soloist Julietta Tarachchan and host Tatiana Savitskaya. At the end of the concert season, the philharmonic will present the instrumental fairy tale "The Golden Key," created by young philharmonic soloist, scholarship holder of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the Support of Talented Youth Vladislav Serpinsky, based on the famous work by Alexei Tolstoy. In this concert season, the Vitebsk Philharmonic pays significant attention to the children's audience. The philharmonic artists have prepared four new performances for young listeners. Journeys into the world of music are held within the framework of the children's subscription "FaSolka Invites," which brings together the philharmonic's bright and colorful musical performances. "For the second year in a row, we have been attracting the children's audience and strive to educate and instill good taste using specific musical genres, such as children's musicals or musical fairy tales, which is not entirely typical for a philharmonic institution, but it yields results and arouses interest in young listeners," said Nelly Matsaberidze.-0-
