Spring plowing of fields in the Vitebsk region will be carried out around the clock
Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev instructed the heads of districts that from the very first days of machinery going out to the fields, the work should be organized and coordinated. "We will prepare the soil in three shifts. Energy-intensive machinery must be used around the clock. It is necessary to staff the farms with machine operators as much as possible," he emphasized. "We must act in links – prepare the soil and sow immediately. All work must be performed with 100% adherence to technology. Our task is to get the maximum yield in the autumn." The total sown area of the region this year will be 796 thousand hectares, of which 50% is planned to be sown with grain crops (about 400 thousand hectares). Including 242 thousand hectares in the spring.
