An exhibition by a Latvian photographer in Vitebsk is dedicated to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War

April 26, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. An exhibition by Latvian photographer Alexander Bulygin dedicated to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War opened today at the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore. The museum informed a BELTA correspondent about this. The exposition "Memory of the Soul" brings together more than 30 photographic works taken on Victory Day near the monument to the Liberators of Riga. Every year on May 9, thousands of residents of Latvia come here to honor the memory of those who did not return from the battlefields, to congratulate and present flowers to those who are alive and know about the war firsthand. The photo report, which became the basis of the exhibition, was made under the impression of the atmosphere of this unity. The works reflect the feelings and experiences of veterans, youth, and everyone who gathered on Victory Day to celebrate the holiday. The project is designed to show viewers the real attitude of the residents of Latvia towards the events of the Great Patriotic War, their respect for the memory of the fallen soldiers. Its implementation was supported by the Riga City Council, the Embassy of Belarus in Latvia, the Ministry of Culture of Belarus, the Minsk and Vitebsk Regional Executive Committees, and entrepreneurs from Latvia and Belarus. -0-
