Veterans of the Vitebsk region will receive financial assistance for the 75th anniversary of Victory

More than 4.6 thousand residents of the Vitebsk region will receive a one-time material assistance in connection with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

– Payments ranging from 650 to 2000 rubles will be made at the place of pension receipt from June 1 to July 1. 3.5 million rubles are allocated for these purposes, – reported Tatyana Soldatova, chief specialist of the department of social support for the population and stationary institutions of the committee for labor, employment and social protection of the regional executive committee.

The amounts of payments and categories of citizens eligible for one-time material assistance are determined by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 118 of March 28, 2019. If assistance is due on several grounds, the largest payment is provided.

– Not all children are considered members of the families of military personnel, partisans and underground fighters who died (passed away), went missing during the Great Patriotic War, in addition to wives who have not remarried, – clarified Tatyana Mikhailovna, – but rather disabled people since childhood, whose pension amount has been increased by 100% of the minimum old-age pension. All of them are provided with a payment of 650 rubles.

One-time material assistance that remains unclaimed due to the death of the recipient is not paid to his family members and is not included in the inheritance.
