Veterans of the war, the partisan movement, and the patriotic underground of Russia, Belarus, and Latvia will meet at the Mound of Friendship on July 2

A working meeting of delegations from the Vitebsk and Pskov regions was held at the junction of the borders of Belarus, Russia, and Latvia, at the Mound of Friendship in the Verkhnedvinsk district. Organizational issues of the upcoming 57th meeting of front-line soldiers, partisans, and underground fighters from three states were discussed.

This year, the traditional meeting is being organized by the Belarusian side. The organizing committee is headed by Vladimir Terentyev, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies.

It was decided that veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the partisan movement, and patriotic underground fighters of Russia, Belarus, and Latvia will meet on July 2 (the opening ceremony will take place at 10:00 AM). A broad program of festivities is being prepared: a procession of delegations, laying wreaths and flowers at monuments, a rally, a concert, and a partisan campfire, as well as exhibitions. A meeting of the heads of the Vitebsk and Pskov regions will also be held as part of the event.
