VSTU will cooperate with European textile equipment manufacturers
April 22, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. The Vitebsk State Technological University intends to expand scientific and technical cooperation with leading European manufacturers of equipment for the production of non-woven textiles, the department of natural and chemical fiber spinning of the university informed a BELTA correspondent. Agreements on this were reached following the international scientific and practical symposium "Advanced Technologies and Equipment for the Production of Non-woven Textile Materials" held on April 15-17 at the VSTU.
The event, which was organized by the university for the first time, brought together in Vitebsk the heads of German companies Temafa, Spinnbau, Dilo Maschinenfabrik, Brueckner Plant Technologies, and Russia's OJSC "Kometeks", representatives of almost 20 Belarusian enterprises, as well as researchers from VSTU and the Moscow State Textile University named after A. Kosygin. During the symposium, representatives of German and Russian companies expressed interest in exchanging scientific and technical information with the Vitebsk university, as well as conducting joint scientific research to develop new types of non-woven textile materials for various purposes. In addition, Vitebsk scientists and specialists from Russia and Germany agreed on joint seminars, conferences, symposiums, and other events to improve the qualifications of enterprise employees and university researchers.
The developments of Vitebsk specialists in the field of non-traditional use of textile industry waste aroused particular interest among the symposium participants. At the same time, the technological university intends to use information about modern high-tech equipment from leading manufacturers to ensure the educational process. VSTU also intends to actively develop cooperation in the field of non-woven materials with the Moscow State Textile University, with which the Vitebsk university has long-standing partnership relations.
The production of non-woven materials is the most dynamically developing area of the textile industry. This is due to the diversity of structures of non-woven materials, the breadth of their application, and the possibility of using almost all types of fibers and many types of textile waste for their production. At the same time, the production of non-woven textiles is characterized by the flexibility of modern technological processes and relative inexpensiveness. Therefore, cooperation with leading European manufacturers will contribute to the active development of new technological solutions in the field of non-woven materials, as well as to improving the quality of training of domestic specialists, the university noted. -0-
