VSTU and Bialystok University of Technology will exchange faculty and students
For students of the Department of "Automation of Technological Processes and Production," a lecturer from Poland delivered 4 lectures, during which he spoke about the Białystok University of Technology, the laboratories, and the equipment used in the training of specialists.
Roman Trokhimchuk also presented projects of student scientific clubs of the Mechanical Engineering Department in a multimedia presentation, stating that under the guidance of teachers, young people are developing Mars rovers, drones, medical robots for surgery and patient rehabilitation, as well as sports cars – analogues of Formula 1 racing cars.
– The automation department at the Vitebsk university is quite young and has good potential. The staff is conducting significant scientific work and has a solid theoretical foundation. BTU pays more attention to laboratory classes, and the training is more applied. However, we would like to incorporate similar theoretical foundations into our educational process and will develop in this direction. The specialist training systems in Belarusian and Polish universities are largely similar, with minor differences in details. Thanks to the academic mobility program, we have gained the opportunity to improve and learn from each other's experience, – said **Roman Trokhimchuk**.
Elena Vankevich, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work at VSTU, emphasized that both sides are interested in cooperation between individual departments and
faculties, as well as the universities as a whole. That is why next year the mutual exchange of students and teachers will continue, joint conferences and publications in university scientific journals will be organized.Natalia Kamleva, "Vitebskiye Vestnik". Photo from open sources.
