Vitaly Vovk: It is important not to hush up problems and not to delay appeals to local authorities

The importance of not concealing problems and not delaying appeals to local authorities was emphasized by the President's Aide - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, Vitaly Vovk, at a meeting with journalists following a field reception of citizens at the Liozno District Executive Committee.

People should openly declare their problems, noted Vitaly Vovk. Such receptions of officials in the regions contribute to the resolution of various situations. "The main thing is not to remain silent, the authorities are ready to solve all issues," emphasized the President's Aide.

Commenting on the results of the reception, Vitaly Vovk concluded that local authorities are working with the population. "Overall, standard issues and topics were raised that are addressed at receptions in other regions of the Vitebsk region, particularly land disputes between neighbors," he added.

A resident of Liozno, living in an apartment building on Chkalov Street, complained about the poor quality of water. The well and the iron removal station are not functioning. As a result, local authorities have been instructed to resolve the water problem by April 1, and in the meantime, water will be delivered to residents and supplied through a temporary pipe from an operating water intake. A major renovation of the building is planned for this year.

Two people raised issues concerning the payment of land tax by horticultural associations for vacant land plots. Considering the start of the gardening season, the President's Aide - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region instructed the local authorities to involve regional services to explain all the nuances of tax payment to residents and to consider the possibility of creating preferential conditions to attract new gardeners to vacant plots.

At the reception, people also addressed housing, medical, and pension issues.
