Vitebsk residents are increasingly contacting doctors by phone about cold injuries

Vitebsk residents have started calling doctors more often about cold injuries by phone, the trauma center of the Vitebsk Emergency Hospital told a BELTA correspondent. The situation with cold injuries, despite the intensification of frosts in recent days, remains stable in Vitebsk. Thus, over the current week, only 7 Vitebsk residents have applied to the trauma center due to frostbite. Last week, there were even fewer such victims - only three people. Doctors noted that people who have suffered cold injuries have resorted to medical consultations by phone more often. There is no record of such calls, but a sufficiently large number of them are recorded daily. The number of fractures and bruises associated with icy conditions has also not increased recently. "People in a state of intoxication and visitors to ice rinks should be more afraid of these injuries, as they often constitute the main mass of victims," the trauma center emphasized. -0-
