Vitebsk residents to hold a major cleanup in the city on the eve of the holidays

Vitebsk residents will hold a large-scale cleanup in the city today: on the eve of City Day (to be celebrated on June 23-25) and the main summer festival - the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" (from July 12 to 18), a volunteer work day will be held in the regional center, the Vitebsk City Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. Factory workers and employees of enterprises will tidy up the territories adjacent to their enterprises on this day. Employees of various organizations will be engaged in improving streets, park areas, and public gardens. Among the main sites are the territory of the city zoo in the Bilevo microdistrict and the Park of Winners. Employees of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee will also work in the park. Some city residents will work at their workplaces. It is expected that about 100,000 people will take part in the city-wide volunteer work day. The funds raised will be directed to the improvement of the regional center. -0-
