Vitebsk and the Chinese city of Jinan intend to become sister cities

An official delegation from the Chinese city of Jinan will visit Vitebsk on April 10, a BELTA correspondent was informed at the Vitebsk City Executive Committee's Economy Department. The delegation is headed by Mu Luyang, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of this city. It is planned to sign an agreement on establishing sister city relations between Vitebsk and Jinan for the purpose of implementing exchanges and cooperation in various fields and areas of activity. The document will be signed in furtherance of the memorandum of cooperation established between the cities in 2006. The program of the Chinese delegation's visit also includes visits to the Vitebsk State Technological College, the Summer Amphitheater, and the Ilya Repin Estate Museum "Zdravnevo". In addition, guests from the Celestial Empire will take part in the opening of a children's art exhibition at the "Maladzik" Center for Aesthetic Education of Children's Art School No. 3, and will get acquainted with Belarusian folk traditions at the "Zadvine" City Center for Folk Crafts and Arts. -0-
