Vitebsk will be the first to welcome participants of the republican youth marathon "65!"

April 27, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Vitebsk will be the first to welcome the participants of the republican youth marathon "65!", the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the BRSM informed a BELTA correspondent. On the initiative of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, the "Roads of Victory" car and motorcycle rally will start on April 28 at Victory Square in Minsk. Its participants will include veterans of the Great Patriotic War, creative youth, stars of Belarusian pop music, students of technical creativity centers, representatives of internal affairs bodies and units, the Armed Forces, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Together, they will carry the "Flame of Memory" relay, lit from the Eternal Flame at Victory Square in the capital, through all regions of the republic. The youth and veterans of Vitebsk, representatives of local authorities, and students will be the first to welcome the marathon participants. Together, they will take part in a rally near the "Order of Victory" monument, witness the honorary ceremony of admitting students to the BRSM ranks, and see a spectacular sports and technical show and a performance by bikers. In the evening, a ceremony of awarding jubilee medals and a charity concert "Heirs of Victory" will be held at the regional territorial center for social services for veterans and disabled people, while activists of the BRSM will organize thematic flash mobs at the site near the "Vitebsk" concert hall, where a demonstration performance by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs security will also take place. The next destination for the participants of the event will be Mogilev, after which they will be expected in Gomel, Brest, and Grodno. The youth marathon will conclude on May 3 with the concert program "Salute to Victory" at the "Kurgan of Glory" memorial complex. -0-
