Vitebsk signed a cooperation agreement with the Beloyarsky district of the Tyumen region
The Cooperation Agreement between Vitebsk and the municipal formation of Beloyarsky District of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra (Tyumen Region, Russian Federation) was signed on March 23 at the Vitebsk City Executive Committee.
Such agreements unite the regional center with 8 more cities in Russia and open up broad opportunities for establishing ties in trade, economic, cultural, educational, scientific, and other areas of activity.
Subjects of the Russian Federation are Vitebsk's main foreign trade partners. The trade turnover between the regional center and the regions of the neighboring country in 2015 amounted to over 582 million dollars, and compared to 2014, it increased by almost 67% (the share in the total foreign trade turnover is 85%).
The trade turnover of the northern capital of Belarus with the Tyumen Region is currently only 1%. Footwear, cables, parts and assemblies for oil and gas equipment, carpets and carpet products are exported from Vitebsk. We mainly import liquefied petroleum gases.
