Vitebsk immersed in the atmosphere of the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia
Perhaps for the first time in its history, the city is hosting such a large number of high-ranking guests simultaneously — members of the Council of the Republic and their Russian colleagues, all chairmen of Belarusian regional executive committees, as well as six dozen official delegations from Russian regions, about a quarter of which are headed by governors, are working at the event.
The second decade in the biography of this landmark event, designed to promote the strengthening of regional cooperation between the two countries in the format of the Union State, begins with Vitebsk region. According to the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, **Natalia Kochanova**, the forum is expected to result in the signing of 165 cooperation agreements, as well as over a hundred commercial contracts worth more than 30 billion Russian rubles. Holding the forum on the Vitebsk land creates broad opportunities for the region to strengthen existing ties, increase the effectiveness of interregional cooperation, and establish new contacts, believes the chairman of the regional executive committee, **Alexander Subbotin**.

The structure of the business agenda of the forum includes nine sections in Vitebsk, Polotsk, Novopolotsk, and Vitebsk district, with a total of about 800 participants. In addition, a joint meeting of the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries, a special panel session of the control bodies, and a joint meeting of the governing bodies of the Youth Council under the National Assembly of Belarus and the Chamber of Young Legislators under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia have been organized.

Presentations
Traditional exhibition projects of the forum are also running. Three of them are hosted by the updated venue of the cultural and sports complex of the Summer Amphitheatre. By the way, performances by Russian and Belarusian creative groups are also organized here.

The regions' presentation features all Belarusian regions and guests from Russia — Volgograd, Pskov, Saratov, Smolensk regions, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republic of Buryatia. By the way, one of the elements of the Vitebsk region's exposition, during the celebration of the 1050th anniversary of the regional center, is a two-meter bronze coat of arms of Vitebsk weighing half a ton. Especially for this occasion, the heraldic symbol, created by sculptor Valery Moguchy in the year of the 400th anniversary of the city's Magdeburg Law acquisition, left the walls of the city hall with the help of employees of PASO "Vityaz".
One of the central venues of the forum is the updated "Vitebsk" concert hall. Perhaps, not only guests of the city, but also its residents will be interested in exploring the exhibition "Vitebsk Historical". The exposition is located on the approach to the concert hall — on special structures placed on the 1000th Anniversary of Vitebsk Bridge.
The culmination of the forum will be the meeting of Natalia Kochanova and the Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matvienko with the heads of the regions of Belarus and the subjects of the Russian Federation, the plenary session, as well as the signing of cooperation agreements, which will take place on June 28 in the "Vitebsk" concert hall.
