Vitebsk will allow the "Fakel" festival to burn even brighter, said Svyatoslav Belza, People's Artist of Russia, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, chairman of the jury of the Gazprom OJSC corporate festival "Fakel", at a meeting with journalists, according to a BELTA correspondent.
"I am very glad that the "Fakel" festival has come to Vitebsk, to Belarus. This will allow it to burn even brighter," said Svyatoslav Belza regarding the first-ever final in Belarus of the V corporate festival of amateur creative groups and performers of subsidiaries and organizations of Gazprom OJSC. Vitebsk, a city that has earned the title of cultural capital of the country with its numerous festivals and interesting cultural projects, is hosting about 3,000 guests of the forum these days, including 1,300 participants.
According to Svyatoslav Belza, the Gazprom festival has acquired an international sound today not only due to its arrival in Belarus. "Among its participants are representatives from China, Slovenia, and Austria. In addition, the laureates of the forum have performed on tour in China and other countries," the artist explained.
Touching upon the judging at the festival, the chairman of the jury noted that its complexity is primarily due to the high skill of the contestants. "Every time I am perplexed by the high level of Gazprom's teams. And often I have to remind the jury members that we are dealing with amateur, not professional artists," admitted Svyatoslav Belza. The jury approaches the evaluation of children's groups' performances with particular care, guided primarily by benevolent demandingness and demanding benevolence. "It is indeed difficult to judge them, as all the children are incredibly talented. And it is important to preserve this talent in the future, in adulthood. Therefore, we try to take everything into account, including judging, as they say, "for growth," to bring the children as little disappointment as possible," the artist noted.
The Gazprom corporate festival "Fakel" has been held every two years for ten years in regions where the company has structural divisions. From May 13 to 19, the final round of the V corporate festival is taking place in Vitebsk.
