Vitebsk invites its residents to make suggestions for the city's development

May 17, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Vitebsk is waiting for proposals from its residents on the city's development. A green box for such letters has appeared at the central entrance to the city executive committee, the department for working with citizens' appeals told a BELTA correspondent. Thanks to the new form of work, the city authorities want to identify the most problematic facilities in the regional center in terms of landscaping and infrastructure, and will take into account the constructive proposals of residents when preparing certain construction and reconstruction projects. This year, Br35 billion has been allocated from the regional budget for the improvement of Vitebsk. As noted in the city executive committee, the city has a unique opportunity to become one of the most beautiful in Belarus, so the opinion of residents is very important for the mayor's office. With the opening of Victory Square and Victory Park, which took place on the eve of the May 9th celebration, the work on reconstruction and tidying up in the city has not ended. Work is underway to improve the banks of the Western Dvina, the riverbed is being cleaned for the passage of a pleasure boat, the central avenues of the ancient city are being put in order, light illumination is appearing on the bridges, and original lighting adorns more and more central streets. Vitebsk is sprucing up for its birthday, which will be celebrated on June 25, and is preparing with good spirits to welcome guests of the "Slavianski Bazaar" International Arts Festival. -0-
